About Growing Greener

What is Growing Greener?

Growing Greener moves people from anxiety to action on climate change.

Growing Greener works with individuals and organizations who view people not solely as victims of climate change but also as potential leaders of climate action. Join us and help move your circles of influence from anxiety to action on climate change.

Growing Greener started out as Graying Green, with a simple idea: let’s connect two global patterns, population aging and climate change.  How might we engage older adults to harness their time, experience and talent in combating the climate crisis?  It turned out that the approaches we developed work not only for older adults but for people of any age, so we changed our name to Growing Greener.  Same mission, different name, same success!

Drawing on insights from psychology, human-centered design and climate communication strategies, Dr. Mick Smyer helps individuals and organizations develop clear next steps for your own action plans and a clear understanding of what will motivate you to succeed. In workshops, presentations, and with customized training materials, Growing Greener can help you take your next steps.

Let’s build something together …
